About the job 

As Commercial Manager you will be part of a team of other Commercial Managers. You are the linking pin between our client and our SDC team(s). You will work closely with our (potential) clients and with our software architects to put the best solutions and offer forward to our clients.

You will focus on:

  • Account management, by building and maintaining long-term management relationships with our clients. You will be the first point of contact and strategic partner to our clients.
  • Acquisition of new SDC projects with our existing clients. The SDC is very successful in servicing its market and we would therefore like to maintain and further expand this quality level. The acquisition should therefore go together with the services and quality level provided to our clients.
  • Contracting new clients based on already created leads: the SDC does not have the ambition to service as many clients as possible, but to service “industry leading parties” with projects that match with the specialities and qualities of the SDC team. It is your role to contract the right projects and clients. Develop software development offers tailored to the client, the project requirements, and the suggested software solution in collaboration with software architects.

About you

As Commercial Manager, you have experience with providing tailored software development offers and solutions. You are able to act as sparring-partner for (potential) clients. You are a self-starter, you are able to explore the market, contract new clients and build management relationships in a structured way. You have

  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a related field, for example software engineering;
  • Experience with software sevelopment;
  • Affinity and experience within a technical environment is a plus;
  • Experience with multi-level sales within payments/financial industry is a plus;
  • Organized and structed work-approach;
  • 5 to 10 years background in project-sales with proven track-record;
  • Willingness to travel expected once per month (under non-COVID circumstances);
  • Excellent communication skills in English and Dutch.
