XPP is seeking an entrepreneurial and detail-oriented Senior Product Owner to drive the massive scaling of our Vayapay payments proposition. The ideal candidate will possess a relentless focus on delivering superior products and services, a robust technical background, and exceptional collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

About you

As the Product Owner for our urban mobility payment solutions, you will spearhead Vayapay's product suite and strategic expansion into new verticals and markets. As a key part of the product team, you will play a vital role in defining the culture and ways of working at Vayapay.

You will lead a specialized high-transaction domain requiring complex solutions. In this role, you will leverage your technical expertise along with your understanding of the payments industry in building and managing high-transaction systems within cloud environments.

You will collaborate closely with both internal and external stakeholders to define product requirements, prioritize features, and ensure alignment with company goals and industry standards.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and inspire the team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment.

  • Identify and tackle a broad set of problems, taking end-to-end responsibility for solutioning with a focus on value, impact, and execution.

  • Drive decisions while ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.

  • Ensure product development is efficient, structured, and adheres to agreed timelines.

  • Maintain the product backlog, ensuring prioritization aligns with business objectives and customer needs.

  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to gather requirements and maintain alignment.

  • Align the team's way of working with Agile best practices.

  • Gather data and feedback for continuous improvement.

Required Skills and atributes

  • 7+ years of experience as a Product Owner or in a product management environment.

  • Ideally 3+ years of experience in the payments industry.

  • A demonstrated history of strong performance in product discovery and delivery.

  • Experience driving the product roadmap, setting clear objectives, and prioritizing product enhancements using Agile methodologies and frameworks (Scrum, Kanban).

  • Ability to navigate emerging technology, opensource standards, and policy.

  • Ability to take the lead and bring people along on the journey.

  • Relentless drive and interest in building superior products and achieving great results.

  • A strong entrepreneurial mindset.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.

  • Team player with a proactive approach to identifying and solving problems.

  • Ability to hit the ground running.

  • Good sense of humor.
